Leader says Gaza brought US-backed Israeli regime to its knees

Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the resistance, which began in the Islamic Iran, brought some Muslim nations to the scene, and awakened the consciences of many non-Muslims, and that the kneeling of the Zionist regime in front of Gaza and Lebanon is the result of the same resistance.

The Leader made the remarks on Tuesday during a meeting with a group of Iranian officials and ambassadors of Muslim countries to Tehran on the occasion of Eid al-Mab’ath, marking the Prophet Muhammad&#۳۹;s (PBUH) divine appointment as the final messenger of God.

Ayatollah Khamenei also said the United States embodies colonialism and arrogance in today&#۳۹;s world. 

The Leader noted that the US is under the influence of the world&#۳۹;s leading financial powers. 

The world&#۳۹;s bullying and evil powers have a "covetous eye" on the countries’ and nations’ natural resources, authentic culture and their national and Islamic identify, and seek to destroy or plunder them, he warned.

"Today, the description that we give for colonialism and arrogance is entirely manifested by the US government, which is itself under the influence of the world&#۳۹;s financial powers," the Leader stated.

"That is, the world&#۳۹;s super financial powers today dominate a number of Western governments, mostly perhaps the US government. The so-called cartels and trusts and the like are the ones who are planning all three stages of colonialism."

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader said friends and foes thought that the martyrdom of the Hezbollah leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, had eliminated Lebanon&#۳۹;s resistance movement.

However, he added, "Hezbollah showed that not only was it not terminated, but it was further inspired to stand up to the Zionist regime."

‘US evil nature behind smiles of diplomacy’

Additionally in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei described the US&#۳۹;s award for the commander of the missile cruiser that shot down an Iranian passenger plane in ۱۹۸۸ and Congress&#۳۹; standing ovation for Israel&#۳۹;s murderer prime minister in ۲۰۲۴ as examples of the enemies&#۳۹; "evil nature and their enmities and grudges which are hidden behind the smiles of diplomacy."

"We must open our eyes to these facts and, as the Qur&#۳۹;an says, not seek behind-the-scene friendship with them (the enemies of Islam)," he emphasized.

He further called for vigilance in global contacts, saying, "We must watch out who we are dealing with, and with whom we are making a deal or negotiate."
