Epic martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar opened a new page in history of Palestinian struggle
The grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic has praised the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar for his significant role in confronting the Israeli regime, stressing that his epic martyrdom opened a new page in the history of the struggles of the Palestinian nation
In a message on Saturday, a day after Sinwar’s martyrdom was confirmed by Hamas, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini extended his condolences to his family, comrades, and all those devoted to jihad for the sake of God.
In a condolence message, the grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic said the martyrdom of Sinwar shows course of his long struggle against the Zionist regime and Israeli enemy. This all also displays s his abundant intelligence and strong leadership power.
“Sinwar was born during the occupation, he tasted the bitter pain of displacement with all his heart, and for many years he thought, studied, wrote in the prisons of the Zionist regime and then became a leader”
“His behavior, his struggles and his decisions should be seen and judged from such a lens.”
Seyyed Hassan Khomeini further said that In addition to all the virtues and characteristics, the noble martyr was the follower of Ali and Imam Hossein (‘a) and their school.
And today he has become a symbol of the unity of all Muslims, both Shia and Sunni.”
He became too prominent on the way to confronting arrogant power of the United States and Israel.
Earlier in a message, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei also emphasized the unwavering trajectory of the “resistance front,” stating that it remains unstoppable despite the martyrdom of its “prominent figures.”
“Someone like [Sinwar], who spent a lifetime fighting against the usurping and oppressive enemy, deserves no end other than martyrdom. His loss is certainly painful for the resistance front, but this front did not stop advancing with the martyrdom of prominent figures such as Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, Fat۳۹;hi Shaqaqi, [Abdel Aziz] Rantisi, and Ismail Haniyeh, and it will not slow down in the slightest with the martyrdom of Sinwar, God willing.
Hamas is alive and will remain alive,” he said, referring to Hamas leaders all assassinated by Israel. He reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s commitment to supporting the resistance fighters, adding, “As always, we will stand by the mujahideen and sincere fighters, with God’s success and assistance.”
Hamas confirmed on Friday that Sinwar was martyred in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza’s Rafah city.
Sinwar served as chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau since the Israeli regime assassinated Ismail Haniyeh in July.
