Pioneer of Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini courageously struggled against the exploitative forces: Iftikhar

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information & Public Relations, Transport, Culture and Inter-Provincial Coordination, Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that the pioneer of Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Khomeini has courageously struggled against the exploitative forces due to which an Islamic system based on modernism and acceptable to the Iranian was introduced in the country.
This, he said, while addressing the 32nd Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran in a local hotel at Peshawar on Wednesday night.
The Information Minister while paying glowing tributes to Imam Khomeini, maintained, it was his struggle that now Iran was in the strongest position in the region and no one could dire to see it with bad intensions. Due to the wrong policies of our former rulers, the USA had become the only super power of the world as in presence of the USSR it could not make such decisions freely, he added.
Mian Iftikhar Hussain said if in the past, our rulers acted upon the sayings of our great leaders, we would not to face the present critical situation as they had already declared the war of Afghanistan as the war of the interests of the world great powers. He added, now their sayings had proved true word by word.
The Minister regretted that innocent people of this land were being slaughtered in the name of Islam but we would not remain silent spectator in such a situation and would use all the resources to uproot such elements. He said, this unfortunate region was facing the menace of terrorism and militancy for the last 35 years and we had to stop that at all costs.
The Information Minister said Islam was a religion of peace, love and brotherhood and there was no place for terrorism and extremism in it. He said keeping away of this region as well as the whole world from uncertainty was their mission; therefore, all the peace loving forces should help us to fulfill this great mission. We were in dire need of sincere friends to uprooting terrorism, extremism and militancy from this region in the larger interest of the whole humanity, he concluded
