A preparatory meeting was held today at the headquarters of the Tunisian Ministry of Ministry of Women, Family, Children and Elderly Affairs to agree on the arrangements for the International Conference on "Women and Modernization: Achievements and Challenges" to be held in Tunis, early in February 2011, jointly by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), the Tunisian Ministry, and the Arab Women Organization (AWO) chaired by the Tunisian First Lady, Mrs Leila Ben Ali, the conference's patron Attending the meeting were Mrs Bebia Bouhnek Chihi, Tunisian Minister of Women, Family, Children and Elderly Affairs, Mr Mohamed Ghemari, ISESCO Director of External Relations and Cooperation, and arepresentative of the AWO . For the record, ISESCO and the AWO had signed a cooperation agreement on October 30th, 2010, on the sidelines of the AWO's third Conference, which was held in Tunis .
