In a message, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has expressed his condolences on the death of Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Mousavi Bojunordi.
Scholars maintain that Bojunordi was one of the most famous seminaries of Najaf and Qom, and from the family of jurisprudence whom extended their extensive services to the school of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
The leader continued with this message by saying: I offer my condolences to his respected relatives, I pray for him the divine blessings and God the Almighty grant all his survivors patience and a reward.
Ayatollah Mousavi Seyyed Mohammad Bojunordi passed away after a period of illness.
He was the son of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Hasan Bojunordi, he was born in Najaf Ashraf in 1326 AH and he also studied in the same city with teachers such as Ayat Imam Khomeini, Khoi, Hakim and their father.
Membership in the Supreme Judicial Council and Prisoner Amnesty Board by Imam Khomeini; One of the responsibilities of Ayatollah Mousavi Bojunordi was after the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
He was also a member of the Central Council of the Fighting Clergy Association.
He was the father-in-law of Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic.
Omer Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Mousavi Bojunordi devoted himself to scientific activities in the field and universities inside and outside the country. Contract of guarantee, science of principles, comparative jurisprudence, legal ideas of family law, rules of jurisprudence (2 volumes) etc. are among the works of this late jurist and therefore, he was chosen as a lasting figure of jurisprudence and law in 2004.
The burial ceremony of the body of Ayatollah Mousavi Bojunordi will be held on Monday, March 7th at 11:30 am from the Holy Shrine of Imam Khomeini.
His body will also be buried next to Imam Khomeini’s holy shrine.
