Minister Eduard Shevardnadze on Thursday described his visit with late Imam Khomeini in Tehran with honor "an important event in my political life".
Shevardnadze made the remarks in an opening ceremony of his book held at Iranian Embassy in Tbilisi.
Ex-Soviet Foreign Minister's book have been translated into Persian by the two Iranian translators.
The ceremony was held in presence of Iranian Ambassador to Tbilisi Mojtaba Damirchi and foreign ambassadors residing in Georgia.
Shevardnadze's book portraits his life during the era of cold war, withdrawal of the Soviet troops form Afghanistan, German unification, the Caucasus and Georgia issues.
The book has also been translated into German and Russian languages and will be translated into Chinese and English in the near future
